Why Do We Do What We Do?

In a world where we can do any job at all, why would we choose to sell wedding dresses? In short, because we love tacos and selling dresses gives us the funds to have all the tacos. And coffee. And keeps our dogs in kibble. The dogs love their kibble.

All jokes aside, imagine a job where you go in everyday to people preparing for the happiest day of their lives. A job where you encounter joy, excitement and love with every customer who walks through the door. That is what we have at Celebrations!

   

Every single person who works at Celebrations picked this career because we were looking to have a happy job. A place we could spend our days earning a living that we were excited to go to every day. Some of us picked this job because we love fashion. Others joined the team to have a better work/life balance. Whether we originally submitted our resumes because we were seeking creativity at work, because we love working with people or even proximity to home- all of us wanted to work in bridal because we love weddings!

 

However, even doing something you love can get old after a while. Cake is delicious. But if you ate it every day, you would eventually never want cake again. So why do we stay at Celebrations after the initial excitement wears off? Because there is always something different we can do. Tired of talking to people or just in a funk one day? Go press wedding dresses. Respond to emails. Organize the dress racks. Help with styled photoshoots. Make videos for TikTok. The list is endless and there are always tasks that we can do that make our jobs ever-changing so we don’t get bored and stay excited about our jobs. But most important of all, we have a boss that actively listens to our passions and dreams and enthusiastically helps us find an outlet within the store. She helps us build careers rather than just another job.

Special events represent the most significant milestones in life that will be remembered forever.
